Each unit is precision CNC-cut in-house, formed on a CNC press brake for accurate geometry, and TIG welded to ensure maximum structural fusion. TIG welding provides deeper penetration, cleaner heat control, and significantly improved fatigue life over conventional MIG-welded options.

The backbone of each shackle is a 1/4-inch thick DOM bushing sleeve paired with 3/16-inch HRPO steel plate — a combination chosen not for cost savings, but for the ideal balance of rigidity, tensile strength, and long-term dimensional stability. This creates a boxed, reinforced structure that resists flex, elongation, and cracking even under repeated high-load cycles.

Where many aftermarket shackles reuse worn factory bushings or supply low-grade rubber replacements, Fenix equips each set with Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings and precision-machined steel inner sleeves. These bushings offer dramatically improved resistance to heat, petroleum, and environmental wear. They reduce deflection, tighten rear-end tracking, and eliminate the vague, mushy feel caused by collapsing rubber bushings found on aging factory trucks.
